I'm back from the wedding and the honeymoon. Everything went great! And now I'm all ready to put my focus back onto the world of community, transactions and interaction. Well, almost. First, a little digression for a film story I almost missed: Robert Ryang's remixed trailer of the Shining (or, as he called it, "Shining"). If you haven't seen this yet (which I can't imagine, but hey - maybe you were in Africa without Net access, too!), it's completely worth checking out. It's what the "remix culture" is all about - someone using digital information, moving it around, adding a layer or two of new / original / different content to the mix, with the end result being something completely new, different and valuable, but at the same time that adds to the power of the original content. The Shining as a romantic / buddy comedy! Who woulda thought? Don't you want to just rent the original now and see how Mr. Ryang did that?
